Our Diverse Range of Products and Markets Is Unique

As a dynamic and flexible company, Armacell guarantees the continuous improvement of its product solutions – based on our customers’ needs.

Since its foundation, Armacell has been innovating new products and has been expanding into new markets, where the company serves various segments. Our company is divided into two main businesses: – Advanced Insulation and Engineered Foams. The Advanced Insulation business offers flexible insulation-foam products for the insulation of mechanical equipment in markets where energy distribution is required, such as in commercial and residential construction, oil and gas applications and in other industrial applications. The Engineered Foams business develops light foams for use in a broad range of end markets, such as transportation/automotive, wind energy, sports & leisure and the construction business. Our brand name is synonymous with elastomeric insulation in the building materials industry.

As a system provider, we offer product solutions that go hand in hand in terms of their functionality and ease of installation.

The group’s solutions provide superior long-term thermal efficiency at a low marginal cost (compared to the total project cost) and are in use in many high-end facilities, including the Empire State Building, the International Space Station and the 35-trillion-cubic-foot Gorgon natural gas project in Western Australia.

Armacell is the first choice when it comes to high performance standards for many more projects around the world. Armacell’s most famous product is Armaflex. It is the world’s best-known brand for flexible technical insulation and benefits from strong brand awareness among customers globally.

ArmaSound Industrial Systems not only protected the plant against energy losses, but also helped minimise corrosion under the insulation (CUI) and noise pollution at the site. In comparison to conventional insulation, the Armacell solution meets noise-control requirements with reduced insulation thicknesses and weight. What's more, the fibre-free systems are fast and easy to install and offer benefits during maintenance work.

BUILDING: NON-RESIDENTIAL

SKANDION CLINIC
UPPSALA (SWEDEN)

Armaflex Ultima is the only flexible insulation material to achieve fire class BL-s1, d0 in the European fire test. The insulation material releases only a minimal amount of smoke in a fire and thus makes an important contribution to the safety of people in buildings.

MULTI INDUSTRY: TRANSPORT

MOSCOW AIRPORT TRAINS
STADLER RAIL, ALTENRHEIN (SWITZERLAND)

Swiss rail-vehicle builder Stadler Rail is currently building double-deck trains for the Russian railway operator Aeroexpress, which will travel between Moscow's city centre and its three international airports from mid-2015. Armaflex Rail SD is the only insulation material to be installed on the air-conditioning ducts in these trains. In a fire, the new elastomeric insulation material displays extremely low smoke development. It is the only elastomeric insulation material to achieve the previously unattained Hazard Level 2 and is also GOST approved.
