Armacell Offers Flexible Technical Insulation with Certification for use in Marine Environments, Shipbuilding and Cruise Liners

NH/Armaflex is the halogen free, flexible elastomeric, insulation material with certification for use in marine and offshore environments. It meets the demand for insulation material with minimal smoke and toxic emissions in the event of a fire. As a closed cell material, NH/Armaflex provides exceptional water vapour resistance and features all the properties which you can expect from a flexible insulation material, such as low thermal conductivity.

Industrial process applications work at high pressures, with gases and liquids moving at high temperatures and flow rates causing vibrations and often dangerous noise levels for operations personnel. The Destiny module of the International Space Station (ISS) is equipped with water storage and tanks, connecting hoses, valves and water lines for this purpose. There is an acute lack of space and a lot of cooling water pipes have very tight turning radii. Therefore, many lines are made of flexible, braided stainless steel hoses.
